Introduction to plant pathology (PPTBEN0923)

This short course introduces you to the basic principles of plant pathology, defining what a pathogen is, and giving examples of commonly-encountered diseases and the organisms that cause them.

After completing this course, you can move on to the more advanced material covering plant disease.

After passing the course, you will be able to

• understand how a pathogen is defined
• give examples of various types of plant pathogens 
• apply the principles of the disease triangle to consider factors causing diseases
